Melanoma is the most common cancer diagnosed in Australian men aged 25-49 years and second most common cancer in women aged 25-49 years, after breast cancer.

Approximately two in three Australians will be diagnosed with melanoma or other types of skin cancer by the time they are 70 years old.

These age groups may represent a significant proportion of your existing workforce.

A world-first study led by University of Sydney has found that Australians aged 18-40 years who were regular users of sunscreen in childhood reduced their risk of developing melanoma by 40 percent, compared to those who rarely used sunscreen. It recommended that everyone over the age of 25 should get regular skin checks.

For this reason, onsite skin screening programs are an exceptionally popular workplace health and wellbeing initiative.

Work Health Professionals have an excellent team of Skin Cancer Screening Nurses based in Perth and South West WA.

We provide onsite workplace skin screening programs across the State.

Onsite Skin Screening Programs

Workplace Skin Screening Programs (or work skin checks!) are a very popular Health and Wellbeing initiative. We come onsite for a minimum of 15 people, and can also provide a team of 2, 3 or 4 Practitioners for larger onsite skin screening programs.

We are Perth based and cover all of WA, including FIFO options. See more..

Cancer Council Australia have put together an excellent guide to Understanding Skin Cancer. This can be a useful resource for your Heath and Wellbeing tool kit.
