We are a Perth based provider of mobile hearing testing and associated workplace noise and audiometric testing services.
CHP are approved WorkCover WA service providers, so our onsite hearing testing includes WorkCover baseline hearing tests and WorkCover subsequent hearing tests, to best meet your compliance needs.
We have been conducting mobile hearing testing in Perth and regional WA, including large group audiometric tests and hearing health surveillance programs, for over 18 years.
Our onsite hearing testing services will help you comply with Australian Standard 1269.4 (AS 1269.4).
Mobile hearing testing facilities
Our purpose built, air conditioned WorkCover accredited mobile hearing testing facility visits workplaces in Perth and around regional WA. This mobile hearing test truck is on the road 50 weeks of the year.
We also have a hearing testing caravan, with WorkCover accredited hearing test booth, that is available for hire. This is ideal for large groups and can include additional services such as:

What your mobile hearing testing includes...
- You receive electronic hearing test reporting, including the ability to compare % hearing loss over time by department, role or worker see samples below
- We register your results with WorkCover WA (if required)
- Your employees receive 1:1 education on hearing conservation and use of protection
- Ear plug fit testing is also an option to improve compliance and correct use of PPE
- Your testing is tailored to work in with different shifts and over multiple sites where required

Regional road trips
We conduct regional road trips with our WorkCover hearing test truck twice per year.
- South West, Wheatbelt, Great Southern and Goldfields in March/April
- Mid West, Gascoyne, Pilbara and NW in August/September.

FIFO hearing testing
We are experts in FIFO onsite hearing testing programs for mine sites and remote work locations, even if you don't have an audio booth.
Our Noise Officers can calibrate a quiet room to WorkCover standards and conduct onsite audiometric testing from that room.
Our accredited Noise Officer's can also conduct a WorkSafe or DMP Noise Survey to help you identify workers who require audiometric tests, the personal hearing protection they should be using and the noise induced hearing loss (NIHL) hazards in their environment that require risk management.
How often should you do hearing testing?
All new employees in a noisy workplace must have a baseline hearing test within 12 months of commencing employment, regardless of whether the worker is wearing hearing protection.
Regular (annual) audiometric testing is recommended by Safe Work Australia in the National Code of Practice for Noise Management and Protection of Hearing at Work. This is because it allows for better risk management for the employer and greater awareness of any loss for the employee.
Regular testing can also help you avoid potential workers compensation claims for Noise Induced Hearing Loss.
Hearing test reports
CHP use continuously updated audiological software to enable us to provide you with accurate and relevant audiometric testing reports.
The individual and employer copies of reports are available on the same day of testing.
A range of other audiometric assessment reports, including reports that allow you to compare % hearing loss over time by department, role and/or worker can be provided after each round of testing, and as requested if we have your history of audiometric testing on file. We can add your previous data if required.

- The Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981, governed by WorkCover WA, requires a baseline audiometric test be provided by employers to all employees exposed to (prescribed) noise in the workplace.
- The assessment must be conducted by a WorkCover WA registered audiometric officer, or audiologist, utilising approved protocols, test environment (audio booth) and equipment.
- CHP conducts all onsite and mobile hearing testing to these strict standards.
This legislation serves the employee by establishing a baseline hearing test measure for compensation should change occur indicating an injury.
It also serves to protect the employer against 'bogus' claims.
Workplace baseline hearing tests done on all new employees can also go some way to protect an employer against any hearing loss incurred at a previous employer’s work site.
